Winter 2012-2013

Morning walk, bright & crisp, such a simple pleasure.

'Red sky in the morning-shepherd's warning !'-but a delight for us

 Frosty before the leaves fall

This is a half ruined wind mill the other side of Serignac with Segos below,
with it's 'cloches mur', showing the colours, clarity & beauty of the view.

The Lambic, a dying activity with fewer & fewer people having the right to distill their fermented fruit. Also less spirit being consumed. Luckily there are still a few old characters left to continue. A good place to sit around the boiler sharing gossip, out of the wind. Sadly they weren't there when I went past in the sunshine.

Summer 2012

Well the season came & went without a problem.
Everyone got into the jubilee spirit, followed by the olympic spirit,
enjoying it on TV. It's amazing how patriotic we can all be in times like summer 2012.
Here are a few photos of the summer.

This one shows La Grange & how it connects to Les Places,
 with my beautiful rose blooming.

A bit of detail of the rose with my Dragon Relief next to it to ward off evil (?)

Looking East off the covered terrace,
showing how lush it can be after the early summer rain.

I just couldn't resist taking this classic of Sunflowers at their best.
